HR Business Partner model is a modern tool initially described by „HR guru“ Dave Ulrich in his book Human Resource Champions  (Harvard Business School Press, 1997). HR Business Partner is defined as a real partner for internal clients, understanding their needs and bringing right solutions to situations they face. The partnering principle is a change of HR position from executive to strategic department oriented on internal and external customer including knowledge of his operation. HR business partnering can be both internal and external – through outsourcing.
